Scope of the workshop

We are soliciting proposals for workshops to be held together with the 2023 International Conference on Computer Vision and Virtual Reality (CVVR 2023). The workshops will be held online on November 23 as the main conference. The purpose of the workshops is to provide a comprehensive forum on topics that will not be fully explored during the main conference and to encourage in-depth discussion of technical, application, and community issues. In addition, we strongly encourage and will give special consideration during the review process to workshops aiming to create and strengthen communities as well as workshops focusing on the social impact of computer vision and virtual reality.
On behalf of the CVVR2023 committee, we cordially invite scholars to serve as a Session Chair and develop a session topic according your research field. Here are some examples below for your reference. If you are interested, please feel free to contact us via e-mail at info@iccvvr.com.

  • Deep Learning for Computer Vision
This workshop will introduce participants to deep learning techniques for computer vision applications. It will cover fundamental concepts in deep learning, such as neural networks, convolutional neural networks, and Recurrent Neural Networks, and discuss how to implement and train them for visual recognition tasks. The workshop will also include practical exercises on using popular deep learning frameworks, such as TensorFlow and PyTorch, to build computer vision systems.
  • Computer Vision for Autonomous Vehicles
This workshop will focus on the use of computer vision techniques for autonomous vehicles. It will cover topics such as scene understanding, object detection and tracking, lane detection and tracking, and simulation tools for autonomous driving. The workshop will also include discussions on the integration of computer vision with other sensor modalities, such as LiDAR and radar, for more accurate and reliable vehicle perception.
  • Virtual Reality for Training and Simulation
This workshop will explore the use of virtual reality (VR) technology for training and simulation applications. Participants will learn about VR hardware and software platforms that can be used to create immersive and interactive training simulations in areas such as medical training, military simulation, and industrial maintenance training. The workshop will also include discussions on the challenges and opportunities of using VR for training and simulation, as well as experiences and case studies from industry leaders in the field.
  • 3D Modeling and Animation for Virtual Reality
This workshop will introduce participants to 3D modeling and animation techniques for virtual reality (VR) applications. Participants will learn about fundamental 3D modeling concepts, such as geometry creation, texturing, lighting, and shading, and how to animate 3D models using keyframes or physical simulation techniques. The workshop will also cover optimization of 3D models and animation for VR playback, as well as explore the use of VR authoring tools for creating interactive VR experiences.
  • Computer Vision and Virtual Reality in Healthcare
This workshop will explore the use of computer vision and virtual reality (VR) technology in healthcare applications. Participants will learn about techniques for medical image analysis, such as X-ray, MRI, CT, and ultrasound images, using computer vision algorithms. The workshop will also cover VR-based training simulations for medical procedures, such as surgery training, as well as the use of VR for mental health therapy. Discussions on the integration of computer vision and VR in wearable healthcare devices will also be included.
